English fluency helps earn 34% more
A research by the Center for Research and Debates in Development Policy found out that professionals who can speak English fluently earn up to 34% more than others. The report, however, states that cost and access to higher education in English is a constraint in India. For example, less than 25% of students of higher education in North and Central India are studying in English medium. The situation in the South of India is much better with as much as 75% of higher education students having access to English.
