Delhi-based ecommerce platform, GoPaisa has announced aggressive hiring plans for the ongoing financial year. 

Founded in 2012, GoPaisa is a product and offer aggregator functioning within the e-commerce space. The startup strives to bring the best of deals to consumers through tie-ups with some of the leading players in the likes of Amazon, Flipkart, Jabong, Ajio, 1mg, Medlife, Mamaearth, Beardo, Makemytrip, ManCompany, among others. GoPaisa has already served over 3.5 million customers pan India, and further plans to take this number up to 5 million-plus customers, by end of fiscal 2021. 

With expansion on their mind, the platform plans to double its workforce. GoPaisa currently employs a staff of 45, and plans to more than double the count to 100. The new roles will primarily be based in New Delhi, where the startup has set its tech base and will span majorly across technology and business development to further advance the platform and support to cater the growth better.

GoPaisa Co-Founder Ankita Jain said, “Currently, we are focusing on strengthening the platform and our team. Once things return to normalcy, we will go all out to expand our business and presence across the globe. Until then, it is time for us to have our manpower and technology in place so that once the ball starts rolling there are no hiccups. To achieve the same, we are on a lookout for talented professionals that are also passionate about the ecommerce industry and share the same energy.”

The ecommerce industry houses a range of businesses and business models, with a majority thriving through the ongoing disruption. With GoPaisa doubling its workforce at a time when companies continue to tread carefully on hiring numbers, the road ahead looks promising and one with growth potential for both the startup, as well as for talent professionals on the lookout for new opportunities in the capital.
