Samsung India, which has three R&D centers in the country, namely Bengaluru, Noida, and Delhi has announced that it would be hiring 1000 engineers. The three centers contribute to both the global products and also develop India specific innovations for the local market here.

"Samsung is extremely bullish on R&D in India. We have been here for over 22 years. The three R&D centers in India work on several cutting-edge technologies," Samsung global senior vice-president and MD Samsung R&D Institute India Bengaluru Dipesh Shah said

According to the latest media report, the majority of the talent will be hired for domains such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, signal processing, computer vision, mobile security, and biometrics.

Of the thousand engineers which will be hired by Samsung India, 300 will be from the IITs, while the rest of them would be hired from colleges such as NITs, Delhi College of Engineering, BITS Pilani, Manipal Institute of Technology, and IIITs among many others. Last year, Samsung India hired 800 engineers and of those 300 were from the IITs.
