The current economic crisis is fuelling IT sector companies to come up with new and innovative techniques to fight recession. At Envision 2009, a seminar on IT Leadership Strategies, AL Jagannath, GM (Marketing), Sun Microsystems said that recession is pushing companies to adopt newer business strategies like cloud computing and virtualization. Speakers like Vivek Sahoo, Business Development Manager at Rural Shores highlighted the significance of rural off shoring and even termed it as a tool of strategic innovation. He further added that in order to maintain the cost advantage over its competitors in outsourcing, India would have to look towards rural areas for solution.
