Google Cloud appoints Karan Bajwa as the new Managing Director

Google Cloud appoints Karan Bajwa as the new Managing Director

Senior tech industry leader Karan Bajwa has joined Google Cloud as the Managing Director for the India region. 

Bajwa will be responsible for driving revenue and go-to-market operations for Google Cloud’s extensive solution portfolio that includes Google Cloud Platform and G Suite. Google Cloud’s field sales, partner and customer engineering organizations in India will also report to him, and he will advise Google Cloud’s continued work with local developer ecosystem and India-based Global System Integrators (GSIs).

Announcing about the appointment, Rick Harshman, Managing Director Google Cloud, Asia Pacific, said, "Karan is a veteran in the industry with a proven track record of building and growing successful enterprise businesses. His experience will be a tremendous asset to Google Cloud’s business, our partners and our customers as we embark on this next phase of growth."

The industry veteran announced his new stint with Google in a tweet where he mentioned that he is looking forward to a new adventure with Google Cloud and thanked Rick Harshman, Managing Director, Google Cloud, Asia Pacific.

With Bajwa on board, Google will consolidate its cloud business in India. The company has opened its cloud region in Mumbai and all set to launch the Delhi region. His experience in working with tech companies such as IBM, Microsoft, and Cisco will give him an upper hand to deal with all the challenges at Google Cloud.
