A few years back, given a choice, all job seekers sprinted towards Multi National Companies given the glamour and style quotient it offered. Today, however, is a different scenario. With the Indian economy picking up swiftly and the recruitment industry booming, job seekers are getting attracted towards home grown companies. The reason is simple; the economic slowdown shattered the notion that if you worked at a MNC you were ‘safe’. With Indian companies realizing the worth of their employees and investing heavily in them, prospective job seekers are convinced that they will receive the same standard of work environment and pay packages as the MNCs offer.

Head-hunters providing manpower to companies state that there has been a definite rise in interest among talent to be part of the Indian companies across sectors like  travel, telecom, healthcare, financial services, product development and IT. Some estimates show that there is 30-40% increased hiring in these companies in roles such as sales and marketing compared to MNCs.
