Google's exit from China may open doors for India

As Google is thinking over stepping out of china, it might be an opportunity for India to attract more intellectual property-based investments and gain competitive edge. Although the Indian market is dwarfed in size by China’s 330 million users but policy wise and brand wise in terms of openness India would look much better than China. Google has not taken any final decision yet on its exit from China but they are no longer willing to continue censoring their results on Google.cn. A similar situation was faced by Yahoo as well sometime back which led to Yahoo! selling its China business in 2005; they no longer have operational control over the Yahoo! China business.
